Car Design News has launched its latest yearbook. Offering a comprehensive look back at the year 2015 in car design, Car Design Review 3 includes an overview of design trends, interviews with key designers, plus our run-down of the best concept and production cars launched in the year just gone.
Each year, the Car Design Review allows us to take a step back from the hype that surrounds the motor shows and new-car launches and take a look at the bigger picture of how the industry has evolved over the past 12 months.
The book features a detailed overview of trends that emerged over the course of the year, illustrated with infographics. It also includes in-depth interviews with 18 professional car designers, capturing their take on car design in 2015.
The designers are also responsible for selecting our car designs of the year. Each names their top three concept cars and top three production cars from 20 contenders, with the cars with the most votes being crowned Concept Car Design of the Year and Production Car Design of the Year. Each winning car is thoroughly detailed in the book.
The book ends with a detailed profile of the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award, Syd Mead, including a large number of rarely-seen examples from his outstanding body of work.
