Design reviews, perceived quality checks and point of sales-setups are just some examples of the role that virtual reality (VR) has in the automotive industry. This webinar focused on how Autodesk VRED VR can be used to visualise all kinds of 3D data in the highest visual fidelity.

The hour-long webinar took place on Tuesday 18 October. If you missed it you can follow the link to the recording below and catch up.

The presentation showed how straightforward the jump into the virtual world can be and set out the requirements for using VR on a head-mounted display at a workstation. The webinar explored different virtual tools that interact with a 3D scene and included a collaboration demonstration of a VRED scene.

The webinar was presented by Simon Nagel, a visualisation specialist based at Autodesk in Munich. A former 3D artist, Nagel now focuses on VR, high quality realtime rendering and CGI production.
