Studio Chief Designer.

Beijing, China

Job Overview

The responsibility of the Studio Chief Designer will be to lead the China-based design team. A diligent and highly-organised work method is required in order to master the complexity of the international footprint and its opportunities. The Studio Chief proactively shapes the visions within a productive design and engineering organisation. A key component of the assignment is the coordination of activities and the proactive exchange of information in the Beijing design studio, amongst Chinese design teams, as well as the alignment with the design team in Stuttgart and the engineering and marketing teams in Beijing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the design team in Beijing, China
  • Organise and coordinate all China-based design projects
  • Proactive alignment and exchange with the German team
  • Ensure high-quality production results together with the engineering team
  • Alignment with marketing department and integration of customer feedback
  • Prepare design presentations for senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design with 5 years of related experience OR an associate's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design with 5 years of related experience
  • A prolific work portfolio with major European automotive manufacturer(s)
  • At least 3 years of team leadership and mentoring experience required
  • Extensive experience with managing production design projects (Exterior/Interior/C&T/User-Interface)

 

Interior Director.

Location

Stuttgart, Germany

Job Overview

The responsibility of the Interior Director is to lead the interior design team based in Germany. The key component of the role is to proactively shape future interior projects with a strong focus on further building up visionary geometry solutions with the requirement to actively integrate HMI experience into the interior design process. Aesthetic leadership and a technologically forward-thinking vision are imperative for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the interior design team in Stuttgart
  • Organise and coordinate all future interior design projects
  • Proactively integrate geometry and HMI faculty to build a strong network with C&T team
  • Ensure a high-quality vision in strong collaboration with the engineering team
  • Prepare design presentations for senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design with 5 years of related experience OR an associate's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design with 5 years of related experience

Colour & Trim Director.

Job Overview

The responsibility of the Colour & Trim Director is to lead the C&T design team based in Germany. The key component of this role is to proactively shape future interior projects with a strong focus on further building up visionary material solutions as well as actively networking with vendors on smart material and HMI experience for the material design process. Aesthetic leadership and a technologically forward-thinking vision are imperative for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor C&T design team in Stuttgart
  • Organise and coordinate all future C&T design projects
  • Proactively network with local the Beijing interior design team
  • Ensure a high-quality vision in strong collaboration with the engineering team
  • Prepare design presentations for senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design with 5 years of related experience OR an associate's degree in Transportation or Industrial Design with 5 years of related experience. Focus on experience material expertise.

The responsibility of the Interior Creative Manager is to guide the interior design team based in Germany as well as to actively design and produce interior design proposals for further selection. The key component is to proactively shape interior projects for future products. An aesthetic leadership and class-leading 2D artwork coupled with a technologically forward-thinking vision are imperative for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Interior design team in Stuttgart
  • Actively design and generate superior 2D artwork
  • Proactively network with C&T and Beijing design teams
  • Ensure a high-quality vision in strong collaboration with the engineering team
  • Prepare and present design presentations

Qualifications

HMI Creative Manager.

Location

Stuttgart, Germany

Job Overview

The responsibility of the HMI Creative Manager is to generate advanced design proposals for the future of HMI, proactively designing the structural parameters as well as the aesthetics within the systems. What is important for this position is the understanding of customer needs and desires coupled with the knowledge of opportunities from as technological point of view. The key component is the close interaction with the interior design and the C&T team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the HMI design team in Stuttgart
  • Actively design and generate superior graphic layouts
  • Generate customer use-case storyboards
  • Generate technology networking platforms (internal and with suppliers)
  • Proactively network with interior and C&T design teams as well as the Beijing design team
  • Ensure a high-quality vision in strong collaboration with the engineering team
  • Prepare and present design presentations 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Graphic Design OR an associate's degree in Industrial Design Focus User Interface Design
  • A prolific work portfolio in user-interface design with major European automotive manufacturer(s)
  • 3-5 years’ experience within the field of automotive user-interface design
