Wanted: Junior Content Editor, Car Design News
Full-time, salary £20-£25k DoE
Car Design News (cardesignnews.com) is the world’s finest information and inspiration source for anybody working in the exciting, creative and fast-moving world of automotive design. We run a very busy website, plus a quarterly glossy magazine, a hardback 200-page-plus yearbook, and an ever-growing pile of events, awards and customer projects both in print and online.
And we need somebody to help us get all this done. It’s a perfect job for somebody who’s fairly recently left journalism college; you’ll be working with a small but highly experienced and friendly team and you’ll get training and mentoring in all of the day-to-day essentials of the business. You’ll learn a lot, you’ll get the chance to tackle some really interesting work, and you won’t be bored.
The job’s office-based (we’re in Hammersmith, West London) but there may well be opportunities to travel too – we cover all the major global shows and events. However, at least at first it’s primarily going to involve subbing, editing, uploading, picture sourcing and other basic journalistic tasks. It’s not a job for a would-be road tester, a frustrated novelist or anybody who thinks their opinions about car design are world-shatteringly important.
Interested? Send a CV and a short note telling us what makes you perfect for us to firstname.lastname@example.org
