A relatively brief round-up this Friday with plenty to expect on Monday during – and following – the 2024 Paris Motor Show.

Another beta joins the pack. This one follows the earlier A290 Beta concept shown last year but is much larger in proportion and introduces a rather unexpected fastback silhouette to the mix.

BMW gives Skytop the green light
Praise be. One of the most visually appealing concepts revealed during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this year, the Skytop roadster will in fact enter production – albeit limited to just 50 units, making it even rarer than the Alpina Z8.

Tesla robotaxi
Déjà vu, anyone? Tesla revealed its latest vision for a robotaxi at its “We Robot” event, which showcased a small fleet of self-driving vehicles navigating city streets. The event was held at Warner Bros. studio in Hollywood (although many commentators seem to have overlooked that bit).
Volkswagen Tayron
This large SUV comes with the option of five or seven seats and will sit between the more premium Touareg and mid-range Tiguan.

McLaren W1
Most will surely have seen the W1 by now, but if not, here are the main takeaways. A bonkers active rear spoiler, more than 1250bhp and a prominent glasshouse that hides butterfly-style Anhedral doors. It is also suitably orange.
