The new Renault 4 E-Tech builds on the revival of iconic nameplates

Renault has shared some teaser shots of the new Renault 4 E-Tech electric ahead of the Paris Motor Show in a couple of weeks.

The renders show only the exterior for now, highlighting the new backlit grille and – as found on the original – a retractable fabric roof.

Other nods to the classic 4 can be seen on the surface treatment of the door panels, inspired by the fluted bumpstrips of the original. The tail lights are also familiar in a way, just scaled up.

It is somewhat larger than its predecessor at 4,140mm long (versus 3,633mm) but and the new Renault 5 electric (3,920mm). The coming production model builds on the 4EVER Trophy concept, which was revealed at the 2022 Paris motor show.

Other recent concepts from Renault include the R17 coupe, continuing a push to revive iconic nameplates that have been absent from the portfolio for some time. The 4 E-Tech will go on sale to customers in Europe in 2025.
