The flurry of appointments within BMW Group continues. This time it is Claudia Braun who joins as head of colour and material at BMW.
Braun will extend her time in Munich after working as a project leader at Konzepthaus within the consulting and learning team. Braun recently spoke in this capacity at the 2023 IAA Mobility Design conference, co-hosted by CDN, Konzepthaus and the IAA organisers.
Braun brings strong pedigree to BMW following senior roles at the likes of Volvo, Polestar, Rivian, Daimler – working across the Mercedes, AMG and Maybach brands – and Porsche. She began her career after gaining a degree in textile design from the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart.
Last month there was change at Designworks, with Martina Starke, head of the Munich studio, moving to the UK as general manager of Bespoke Design at Rolls-Royce. Shortly after, it was revealed that Annette Baumeister would be Starke’s successor.
It has been a busy old year for career news in the design world – although that seems to be part and parcel of the job these days. To keep up to date with the comings and goings, or look back on past switches, visit our “who’s where” section.
