Dassault Systèmes webinar, ‘The Silverbull Bike made with CATIA for Creative Designers and CATIA Icem V6-R2013x', took place on 13 December at 1000 GMT.
Two CATIA experts gave a 30-minute presentation about how CATIA for Creative Designers software helped designer Marc Boulangé realize his vision for the Silverbull motorbike. The session was followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.
With an innovative Unified Industrial Design workflow, CATIA for Creative Designers aims to unbind and boost your creativity, from sketch ideation with 3D Sketching, concept modeling with subdivision surfaces to Surface Refinement with CATIA Icem and Design visualization with real-time & Interactive Global illumination & Raytracing.
In this seminar they also presented what's new in the latest release of CATIA for Creative Designers V6-R2013x.
Xavier Melkonian was appointed as Director, Business Development Industrial Design for the CATIA Brand within Dassault Systèmes in January 2009. In 2010 he took the responsibility of the CATIA Design Domain in the CATIA Brand. Prior to join Dassault Systèmes, Xavier spent nearly 20 years in the software industry for Styling & Design in various positions from R&D, Sales, to Product & Industry Management.
Xavier Melkonian's responsibility includes defining the Dassault Systèmes CATIA brand strategy of the CATIA Design solutions to address the Industrial Design, Class-A and Mechanical Surfaces modeling markets for both transportation and product Design industries.
Pierre Maheut graduated from Strate Collège Designers with a master of Industrial Design and Innovation Management. After several projects in automotive and product design, Pierre worked at Citroën with CATIA V5 and ICEM Surf on a concept car presented at Frankfurt Auto Show.
