This joint Gravity Sketch & Unity webinar took place on Wednesday, 26 September 2018. Click on the links below to watch the recording.
The auto industry is undergoing change at an accelerated pace, and companies are searching for new ways to create and communicate more compelling, more expressive designs whilst shortening design cycles. A London based startup, Gravity Sketch, has developed a solution based upon the Unity real-time 3D platform to transform the creative process by allowing users to directly create and communicate concept designs in 3D.
In this session, James Robbins and Frank Naggies explore how VR creation tools are putting the designer back at the centre and facilitating the movement to a faster, more expressive and collaborative concept design process.
This webinar will cover:
- How designers are using Gravity Sketch throughout their design process and the integration in the wider workflow
- The potential of immersive 3D tools in shortening design cycles and strengthening communication
- Live demo showing the power of using these tools together to create the ultimate exterior
This webinar will be presented by:
James Robbins / Gravity Sketch
James Robbins is a senior designer with the Digital Modeling and Visualization group at Honda R&D inc. He mainly works with Alias and Modo but has now jumped head first into VR sketching, sculpting and modeling. James has always been interested in new design techniques and processes that can help the creative workflow.
James is a graduate of the Industrial Design: Transportation track from the University of Cincinnati. He’s worked with many talented and inspiring design, marketing and engineering teams across many design fields to develop and implement products from concept through production.
Frank Naggies / Unity
Having worked in the games industry for 5 years, Frank joined Unity as Solutions Engineer in 2015 and helped build the automotive footprint for Unity in Europe.
